Welcome to the Seinäjoki Airport online store! In these terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Seinäjoki Airport (Seinäjoen lentoasema Oy). Seinäjoki Airport operates this online store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products, and services, to provide you, the customer, with a clear and secure purchasing experience (“Services”). Seinäjoki Airport operates using Shopify technology, which enables us to provide the Services to you.

The following terms, together with the policies referenced herein (these “Terms of Service” or “Terms”), describe your rights and obligations when using the Services.

Please read these Terms carefully, as they contain important information about your rights and address matters such as disclaimers and limitations of liability.

By visiting, interacting with, or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these Terms or the Privacy Policy, please do not use our Services.

SECTION 1 – ELIGIBILITY AND ACCOUNT

By accepting these Terms, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your country or region of residence, and you consent to allow your minor dependents to use the Services on devices you own, purchase, or manage.

To use the Services—such as browsing the online store or purchasing products or services—you may be asked to provide certain information, including your email address and billing, payment, and order details. You represent and warrant that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete, and that you have all necessary rights to provide such information.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities conducted through your account. You may not transfer, sell, assign, or license your account to any other person.

SECTION 2 – OUR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

We strive to provide as accurate information as possible regarding our products and services. However, descriptions and information presented in the online store are general in nature and do not replace official publications, operational instructions, AIP data, or NOTAMs.

We reserve the right to modify product and service descriptions at any time without notice and at our sole discretion. We also reserve the right to discontinue any product or service at any time and to limit quantities offered to any person, region, or jurisdiction on a case-by-case basis.

SECTION 3 – ORDERS

By placing an order, you are offering to purchase a product or service. Seinäjoki Airport reserves the right to accept or reject your order at its sole discretion for any reason. Your order is not accepted until it has been confirmed by Seinäjoki Airport. Payment must be received and processed before acceptance.

Please review your order carefully before submitting it, as cancellation requests may not be accommodated once the order has been accepted. If we do not accept your order, modify it, or cancel it, we will attempt to notify you using the email address, billing address, or phone number provided at the time of purchase.

Digital permits and services are delivered electronically and may be provided immediately after payment confirmation. Therefore, cancellation or refunds are not possible once a digital permit/service has been delivered, unless otherwise required by mandatory law. You represent and warrant that your purchase is for your own use and not for commercial resale or export.

SECTION 4 – PRICING AND BILLING

Prices, discounts, and promotions are subject to change without prior notice. You will be charged the price in effect at the time of your order, as stated in your order confirmation. Unless otherwise indicated, prices do not include taxes.

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all transactions and to promptly update such information, including your email address, so we can process payments and contact you as needed.

SECTION 5 – DELIVERY (DIGITAL PRODUCTS AND SERVICES)

Our online store primarily sells digital products and services (e.g., landing permits, access rights, fees, and reservations). These are delivered electronically to the email address provided during purchase and/or included in the order confirmation.

Delivery typically occurs immediately after payment confirmation. We are not responsible for delays caused by payment processors, email systems, spam filters, or other factors beyond our control.

If you do not receive your delivery within a reasonable timeframe, please check your spam folder and contact customer service.

SECTION 5B – AVIATION AND OPERATIONAL TERMS (EFSI / SJY)

Meaning of a Landing Permit Purchased Online

A landing permit (or landing fee) purchased through the online store primarily constitutes payment and facilitates advance coordination of operations. It does not replace any regulatory requirements, aviation permits, certifications, insurance obligations, or operator responsibilities.

Pilot-in-Command Responsibilities

The pilot-in-command (PIC) and/or operator is responsible for ensuring that:

• operations comply with all applicable rules and regulations
• the aircraft and operator hold valid permits and insurance
• operations follow current AIP data, NOTAMs, weather and safety briefings, and local procedures
• all information provided during ordering (e.g., MTOW/weight category) is accurate and truthful

Operational Right to Restrict Activity

Seinäjoki Airport reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or prevent operations at any time due to safety, weather, maintenance, surface conditions, snow removal, equipment or personnel availability, authority actions, emergencies, or other operational requirements.

Time Windows and Arrival Flexibility

If a purchased product includes a time window (e.g., 30–60 minutes), it serves as an operational guideline only. Actual execution depends on traffic, weather, and operational conditions. Seinäjoki Airport does not guarantee adherence to a specific time window where safety or operational requirements necessitate adjustments.

Additional Services (Handling, Fuel, Special Arrangements)

If you require fueling (Jet A-1 / AVGAS), handling, event arrangements, training, or other special services, we recommend contacting us in advance at afis@efsi.fi. A landing permit purchased online does not automatically include additional services nor guarantee their availability without separate confirmation.

Fees and Payment Timing

All fees must be paid prior to departure from the airport unless otherwise agreed in writing. Seinäjoki Airport may request proof of payment.

Information Accuracy

Landing fees may be based on the aircraft’s Maximum Takeoff Weight (MTOW) or another weight category. If incorrect information is provided (e.g., wrong weight category), Seinäjoki Airport reserves the right to adjust the fee accordingly and invoice the difference, or cancel the service if the error prevents proper operational handling.

Limitation of Liability in Operations

Seinäjoki Airport is not liable for indirect damages such as delays, rerouting, diversions, additional costs, loss of revenue, or similar consequences arising from operational restrictions, weather, safety requirements, or other factors beyond our control.

Force Majeure

Seinäjoki Airport shall not be liable if service delivery or operations are prevented or delayed due to force majeure events such as extreme weather, authority regulations, labor disputes, equipment failures, power or telecommunications outages, or security situations.

SECTION 6 – INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content within the Services—including trademarks, branding, text, graphics, images, layout, and design—is owned by Seinäjoki Airport, its partners, or licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms grant you permission to use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publicly display, republish, download, store, or transmit any materials without prior written consent.

SECTION 7 – OPTIONAL TOOLS

We may provide access to third-party tools that we neither monitor nor control. Such tools are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties.

SECTION 8 – THIRD-PARTY LINKS

The Services may contain links to third-party websites. If you choose to access them, you do so at your own risk.

SECTION 9 – RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY

Seinäjoki Airport uses Shopify to provide the Services. However, all purchases are made directly with Seinäjoki Airport. By using the Services, you agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of transactions between you and Seinäjoki Airport.

SECTION 10 – PRIVACY POLICY

All personal data collected through the Services is governed by our Privacy Policy [LINK]. Because the Services are hosted by Shopify, Shopify may process personal data to deliver and improve the Services.

SECTION 11 – FEEDBACK

If you provide feedback, ideas, or suggestions, you grant us the right to use them for service development and marketing within the limits permitted by applicable law.

SECTION 12 – ERRORS AND OMISSIONS

We reserve the right to correct errors, update information, and cancel orders if material inaccuracies are identified.

You may not assign your rights or obligations without our written consent. We may assign this agreement as part of business arrangements.

SECTION 21 – GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland unless otherwise required by mandatory legislation.

Headings are included for convenience only.

SECTION 23 – CHANGES TO TERMS

We may update these Terms by publishing a new version on our website. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
